Yes! We do offer complementary frame adjustments, even if it wasn't purchased here.

FYI - In some cases we're unable to adjust a frame for reasons like frame material or frame design. Unfortunately, this isn't something we can determine over the phone or with a photo alone.

We're able to fill any prescription, single vision or multifocal, as long as it's valid, replace lenses, and more.

Insurance

You can use your FSA or HSA card for glasses at our store or online.

For insurance that doesn't use FSA or HSA, Smith's would be considered an out-of-network reimbursement. Ask for an itemized receipt when you pick up your completed order.

Choose "Health Savings" option at checkout. You'll get an email with a payment link and an itemized receipt upon order completion.

We don't participate in VSP or more traditional insurance plans. This allows us to offer a lower price point on all products. For these types of plans, a purchase at Smith's would be considered an out-of-network reimbursement.

Lenses

We only offer prescription updates when:
- you visit our Houston store
- you purchased your frames from us.

No problem. We work with multiple labs to ensure product availability and the ability accommodate all prescription glasses needs.

If your heart is really set on a specific brand, send us a message and we'll double check availability.

We can fill prescriptions for therapeutic tinted lenses. This includes FL-41 for light sensitivity and to reduce migraines.

If you're looking for a specific color or have a therapeutic prescription, contact us with details.

Frames

All of our frames are made from ophthalmic quality materials, meaning they're prescription ready and designed to be adjusted for optimal fit.

YES! All of the eyeglasses at Smith's are made for prescription lenses. Check with your vision specialist to see if they will put lenses in prescription ready glasses.

ONLINE
If you purchased the frame here, we can replace the lenses. Contact us for details.

YES If we stock a collection and the frame is available, we're happy to make a special order for you at no extra charge.
 
Similar to clothing, frame styles and colors change with the seasons. So if you love a pair of glasses, consider getting a backup frame sooner rather than later.

NO When we don't have an account with that brand, we're unable to order the frame.

Warranty - Return - Remake - Exchange

WARRANTY
One year warranty covers defects from materials or workmanship. If the collection offers us a better warranty, we'll certainly pass it on to you!

RETURN OR EXCHANGE
Same deal as our regular frames.
- 40 days to return them in their original condition.
- Come to the store or contact us for return authorization.

WARRANTY
It's rare that we have a warranty issue with our vintage stock but in the case of a problem, contact us. We can't order a replacement for a deadstock frame, but we’ll do our best to help you out, promise!



Items from our vintage stock are in excellent or very good condition and ready for your lenses. They're sold "as is" and sometimes they're a little crooked from age, that's okay, they'll look much better once adjusted for your face.

We do not adjust vintage eyeglasses until lenses are placed in the frame.

REMAKE OR EXCHANGE
Sometimes it can take a week to get used to your new lenses. Especially if you're not wearing them continuously.

(1) Don't switch between your old and new RX.
(2) If you primarily wear contacts, find a day where you can just use your glasses.
(3) Progressive wearers, you should not have to tilt your head to achieve focus. Contact us ASAP if this is your problem.

If you're still having a difficult time adjusting, contact us ASAP!

The same 40 day timeframe applies. In the case that 40 days has passed, contact us to see what your options are.

The warranty covers manufacture defects, such as peeling or cracking from normal use.

Check your order to confirm a 1 or 2 year warranty for your AR coating.

- Don't expose your lenses to extreme temperatures like leaving them in the car.
- We always provide a FREE microfiber cloth and liquid cleaner.

While AR coatings are scratch resistant, there is no scratch proof lens. Using materials other than microfiber, attempting to clean the lens while dry or with chemicals, will result in deterioration.

TL;DR In the event of a quality issue, we'll replace your lenses during the warranty period.

We do not accept returns without prior authorization.
Refunds are only made to the original method of payment.
